In "The Beverly Hillbillies," poor hillbilly Jed Clampett and his faithful dog Duke are out hunting for some food when Jed accidentally strikes oil with an old rifle to unearth an oil gusher with a gun shot as it virtually spurts out of the ground due to pressure from gases within and sometimes, in real life, it actually does without any coaxing at all.  If it was only that easy and cheap to find new petroleum sources all of the time.

  

Peak Oil Theorists are like "Chicken Littles" scurrying around screaming our domestic oil supply is falling as we're running out of oil. According to Cambridge Energy Research Associates (CERA), "The remaining global oil resource base is actually 3.74 trillion barrels -- three times as large as the 1.2 trillion barrels estimated by the [peak oil] theory's proponents." (This data is from a 2006 study.)

This kind of mass hysteria breeds radical environmental groups like the Sierra Club and disingenuous politicians like Obama to decry our dwindling natural oil supplies. But of course, we cannot touch any of our land for this vile resource we need and must urgently look to quickly turn on the taps from foreign sources lest we run out immediately while concurrently amassing further dependence on foreign oil.

Our national problem is that we must "Drill, Baby Drill". It makes sense to drill for oil in the Alaska Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, ANWR, which is safer than offshore drilling. Management of oil and gas exploration and development of 1,500,000 acres (6.1×10⁹ m²) in the treeless, barren, coastal tundra plain, known as the "1002 area" surrounds drilling for oil in this subsection of ANWR. With temperatures dropping past 30° F below zero in the winter, it is a challenging place to work. Oil field workers are flown into nearby Deadhorse, which has no official year-round population. 

Our own oil resources are virtually unlimited and would solve this problem for decades, even centuries to come. Of course, jobs would be created and a healthy economy would result in the United States paying down its debt while retaining its world leadership - what a concept? 

So, the wolf is not at the door since we are facing neither a problem of oil scarcity, nor an upcoming oil blackmail by forces hostile to the West. Only Obama's bad political decisions driven by a distorted view of current problems is to blame for them and can doom us to a gloomy oil future, along with gas and nuclear energy, if we allow Obama to stay in office another term while pushing through more EPA job-killing regulations.

Professor Terry Lovell, a tenured full Professor of Business and Economics at Yavapai College in Prescott, Arizona where he has taught for the past 20 years, shows how much of our important oil resources are within the United States borders. With amazingly easy to understand information, available to anyone who has access to the Internet, he very well documents all facts directly from Official United States Government Data.

After watching this presentation,  I read some of the blogger email comments that followed. Although some seemed to be well intentioned, others due to obvious contrary agendas were meant to subvert with disinformation against this pro-energy exploration message.  With absolute impunity, the Federal Government proceeds with a continuing negative growth domestic energy policy that forces U.S. dependence on foreign oil. What are the hidden agendas?  The answers may lie in the partial list below.

The talking heads on Fox News Special Report this Friday, August 26, concurred that Marco Rubio will be on the Republican ticket next year as the vice presidential nominee. I agree. There is virtually no downside to Rubio and the advantages to the ticket are prohibitive. He is youthful, attractive, and articulate.  Rubio won a tough three-way race in Florida last year. His life story is compelling as the child of Cuban parents who worked up the hard and legal way. His conservatism on social and economic issues is unwavering.  Rubio is slightly too young and inexperienced to run as president, but eight years as vice president would make him ideal presidential timber.

If Senator Rubio becomes the running mate of Governor Perry, which I believe is increasingly likely, President Obama could face his worst electoral nightmare. At the outset, both men are excellent campaigners -- articulate, likable, attractive, and accustomed to winning elections in the diverse and large populations of Texas and Florida.  Unlike Republican nominees since Reagan, Rick Perry knows how to work crowds.  Perry, like Rubio, has never lost a political race.  Although it is a relatively small section of his resume, his time successfully selling Bible reference books door-to-door may be as important as background in running for president. 

Both Perry and Rubio have life stories which demonstrate that the American Dream really works. Perry grew up on a cotton tenant farm in the middle of nowhere and worked hard up every step in his path to success.  Rubio's parents worked in menial jobs so that their son could have a better life.  Imagine Rubio campaigning in Las Vegas, where his parents worked like so many Hispanics today, cleaning rooms and tending bars.  The greatest impact of these life stories is that the Republican ticket could say just how poor people need not stay poor if government gets out of the way.

Perry and Rubio are both social and economic conservatives. The left tries to downplay the appeal of social conservatism, but to take just a single social conservative issue, abortion, the latest Rasmussen Poll shows that 55% of Americans believe that abortion is morally wrong while only 30% believe that abortion is morally acceptable and 41% of Americans believe that it is too easy to get an abortion in America while only 14% believe that it is too hard to get an abortion. The vanilla question about whether Americans are "pro-choice" or "pro-life" is meaningless, if Republican candidates have the gumption to ask Obama in a debate whether he believes abortion is moral or immoral -- leaving the question of federal policy on abortion aside. 

This particular ticket would also have profound appeal to Hispanic voters, whose support for Obama has dropped a dramatic 36 points since he took office.  The impact of Rubio on the ticket, of course, is obvious: he would be the first Hispanic on a major party ticket in American history.  Big chunks of Hispanic voters in 2008 voted for Obama because he was a "person of color." Reelecting a black man president has much less psychological value to Hispanic voters than electing a Hispanic who could easily be president in eight years.

Governor Rick Perry

The impact of Rick Perry is real, but underestimated by Beltway punditry, which listens more to high ranking Hispanic organizational leaders rather than ordinary Hispanics.  Perry has won many statewide elections in Texas, including three as governor.  Almost 40% of the state is Hispanic. Governor Perry speaks Spanish, but more than that, just as a New York City or Chicago politicians grasp the nuances of European ethnic differences, so Perry understands the largely Mexican-American minority and has steadily improved his percentage of the Hispanic vote in Texas elections.

A politically savvy Perry with the first Hispanic on a national ticket as his running mate could disarm the traditional skittishness that some Hispanics have had about voting Republican.  Combine that with the very real success that Perry has had in creating jobs in Texas -- compared with Obama nationally or California Democrats -- and he could make a strong argument that Perry-Rubio is precisely what most Hispanics really want in Washington. 

This could be complemented by the rise of Hispanic Republicans in 2010.  Susana Martinez, the conservative Republican governor of New Mexico, next door to Texas, is a prime example.  The first female Hispanic governor in American history could travel throughout the Rocky Mountain region touting a Perry-Rubio ticket. It is not just Hispanic "people of color" that could connect with Hispanics.  Bobby Jindal and Nikki Haley, both articulate and strongly Republican governors could both show the legal immigrants from lands as distant as India are welcomed by conservatives.

Black voters will go overwhelmingly for Obama, but black voters vote overwhelmingly for Democrats no matter what Republicans have tried. If Hispanic voters, already accustomed to conservative Republicans senators and governors, vote in substantial numbers for conservative Republicans at the national level, then not only is Obama in trouble, but so is his party. That is why Perry-Rubio could be the ticket Democrats fear most.

During his 2007 Election, Obama was very crafty to decline public financing and the highly restrictive spending limits that came with it, making him the first major-party candidate since the system was created to reject taxpayers' money for the general election to bypass close campaign funding scrutinies. It did, however, open up a floodgate of questionable private donations and outsourced funds from overseas financial institutions. Is Obama doing it again? LOL!

August 25, 2011 - The big winner on a down day for the stock market is Warren Buffett and Bank of America (BAC). Bank of America is up 9% on a day when the market is down 200 points. In a surprising move, Buffett made a $5 billion dollar investment in the banking giant that helped to stop its shares from sliding. Buffett has once again stepped up to rescue one of America’s struggling blue chip companies. 

Buffett’s company, Berkshire Hathaway is buying 50,000 shares of preferred stock in Bank of America. These shares have a liquidation value of $100,000 per share. In return for this $5 billion dollar loan, Bank of America will pay Buffett $300 million dollars in dividends a year. That is a 6% annual dividend return guaranteed. That dividend yield is fantastic for a large cap company. 

This was a good move for Bank of America because it helps to calm market fears about the bank being unsafe. Buffett’s investment in General Electric and Goldman Sachs did the same thing for those companies during the financial crisis of 2008. Buffett was able to get even better terms on preferred stock investments in those companies.

Warren Buffett - Billionaire Democrat

Warren Buffett, one of the third-richest men in the country, wants to pay more taxes and thinks his super-rich friends should too. Buffett, who is estimated to be worth more than $47 billion, called on Congress to commit to "shared sacrifice" and raise taxes on people earning more than $1 million. Buffett said the rich are "coddled" by Congress "as if we were spotted owls or some other endangered species." 

Obama said Buffett's call for taxing the wealthy shows that his "balanced" approach to deficit reduction is the best option. Obama said Buffett enjoyed a lower tax rate because the majority of his income comes from capital gains, which are taxed at a lower rate. "You don't get those tax breaks," Obama told an audience and said, "You're paying more than that and I think you're a little less wealthy than he is."  

No doubt they are less wealthy, Mr. President, and they pay more taxes on earned income verses capital gains income. Did you remind them that they also sell their houses, have rental income property, sell stocks and securities, receive income from trusts, paid from retirement pension funds and get dividends from investments which are all considered "Income from Capital Gains".

In 1977, capital gains were taxed at up to 30% and the highest rate of income tax was 75%, when President Jimmy Carter, just elected, announced during his budget 1978 preparation that capital gains will be taxed at 50% from thereon and everyone else would also go up as the "rich" pay their higher tax hikes and "all the other boats of the not-rich will rise in the harbor" with their new tide of Federal taxes too. 

Their Capital Gains Tax rates were substantially lowered by President Reagan to 14%.

Raise the 15% Capital Gains Rate to 28%!   

Super-Committee: The Commissions are made because members can't stomach making choices that could have electoral ramifications, more than 150 commissions created over the past two decades with questionable outcomes. Over the next three months, before Thanksgiving,  12 members of Congress will decide how to fix the country's fiscal crisis and cut at least $1.5 trillion from the 10-year budget deficit. Half of those committee members are from the Republican Party, which has vowed not to raise taxes but still are no guarantee about its member solidarity in the super-committee. Nevertheless, every GOP presidential candidate has spoken out against raising any taxes, if that means anything after they are elected except more empty campaign rhetoric as always in the past.  

Major Flaw:  This "Super-Committee" is not how our government was supposed to operate constitutionally.  What are the rest of the Congressmen to do while only twelve Representatives meet in secret about "a solution"? 

CHEER UP! ....There is still more "HOPE" on the horizon - Obama hopes for THREE NEW TAX PLANS:

1.)  Income Tax - will raise more "taxes on the rich" making over $200K on earned income. 

2.)  Wealth Tax* - based upon your accumulated assets in your current estate before death and is taxed annually along with Income Tax - Just like in France - Bon-Appetite' you "Rich" taxpayers.

*A Wealth Tax is generally conceived of as a levy based on the aggregate value of all household holdings actually accumulated as purchasing power stock (rather than cash income flow), including owner-occupied housing; cash, bank deposits, money funds, and savings in insurance and pension plans; investment in real estate and unincorporated businesses; and corporate stock, financial securities, and personal trusts.

3.)  VAT Tax - Added Federal Taxes on all purchased goods poised to start low at 3% to be hiked higher as some Euro Countries have rates near 20%.  VAT has been expanded to include a monthly house tax, not considered a property tax.


Don't Forget: The Home Sales Tax for 2013 - 3.8% Already passed in Obamacare.

I did some shopping at Costco on Saturday. Nothing too special, just looking to pick up some meat to BBQ. My eldest son was down with his fiancée from Iowa, so we wanted to have some family time. My wife and I worked our way past the various displays and only picked up an ice chest to keep the meat from spoiling on the return trip to Magdalena, (we were strong willed for a change). We arrived at the refrigerated section and began the difficult task of choosing our cuts of meat for the family get together. Right away, I spotted the chicken breasts, they were already boneless and vacuum sealed. The price was good as it was organic chicken from Oregon, but then I saw on the sign a note that stopped me cold.

 

The whole chickens that looked wonderful for the family bar-b-que, just a moment before, were now an offense to me. Right on the sign were the words “Certified Halal”. Halal is the Islamic term that basically means the meat is lawful to eat for a devout Muslim. What makes it lawful or acceptable is that the meat has been processed in a very specific way. Now, you may think that this is no different than meat that is acceptable to the Jewish people or kosher. Unlike kosher food, where the physical processing of the meat is the focus, for Islam it is the spiritual component that makes the meat lawful.

For lawful (halal) meat in Islam, the animal must be killed while the butcher faces Mecca, and either the butcher cries “Allah Akbar” or a tape plays the words over a loud speaker. Understand, that when they face Mecca, the butchers face the black stone (Click on Link), the very definition of Islamic idol worship.

I am glad that Costco is finally telling us plainly that the meat is halal or sacrificed to an idol, but I have a feeling that this not to benefit the Christian, but rather the Muslim. I will state again that I have not fear of a lifeless false god, but the book of Acts plainly tells us that we are not to eat meat sacrificed to idols. The false religion of Islam continues to make inroads into America as they attempt to force some of our communities to submit to Sharia law and demand that halal food be sold in mainstream stores.

I would point out that normally this type of food has been called “ethnic” food or given a special section like the Chinese food or whatever. That is not what we see here. This food is being sold with the standard fair, and one must read the small labels on the back of the food to find out if it is halal or not.

I believe in freedom of religion. What I am starting to observe, however, is that one religion (currently the minority) is being given a wide berth and allowed special status. Those that know their Bible are not surprised by this, we are talking about the religion of the anti-Christ after all. But it still amazes me that it can (as the Bible predicted) happen so suddenly and without anyone really taking notice.

A Serious Threat - Aliens Run White House with Obama

Hot or Not?

"Watching from afar, extraterrestrial beings might view changes in Earth's atmosphere as symptomatic of a civilization growing out of control – and take drastic action to keep us from becoming a more serious threat", the researchers explain.

This highly speculative scenario is one of several described by a NASA-affiliated scientist and colleagues at Pennsylvania State University that, while considered unlikely, they say could play out were humans and alien life to make contact at some point in the future. Anybody watching too many Star Wars movies or Twilight Zone here?

Progressive ideas pushed by Woodrow Wilson & FDR - in another words ..."Liberal Propaganda"!

Annenberg School fosters highly liberal progressive left-wing ideas for programs that are administered to be communally shared and universally performed for the good of everyone - centralized planning and controls or called socialism. Global Warming with Cap and Trade is one such program that is currently highly touted and promoted with green earth initiatives.

 My Theory

My argument is completely opposite of those NASA experts. Obama and the fact that the civil service and the bowels of government move at a rate of speed that can only be called 'glacial', any environmental changes to deter space invasion will occur at like speed.  So, we should still worry about aliens presently, but the human traffic kind crossing our borders and protecting against them instead.

Outer Space Aliens, however, are already a non-issue.  That's because they are already here and in control of our leaders. You don't see the EPA, Sierra Club, Greenpeace, Rainforest Alliance, Earthwatch, Audubon Society, just to name a few watchdog groups who normally warn about our green planet earth issues or the extraterresterial life threat because they too are silenced like our government leaders.

The reason we will not stop burning fossil fuels is that these Space Aliens need the carbon monoxide in the air so that they can breathe it. Once we have put enough CO2 into the air then we will have served out our usefullnes­s and they will begin the eliminatio­n of our human species ...LOL!

I do hope that clears this issue up.  This is as ridiculous as the Global Warming Issue is an imaginary peril in order to justify Cap and Trade legislation to levy more taxes on the earnings of all Americans taxpayers, regardless of income.

I'll bet this silly news item was actually created, produced and disseminated by some Annenberg - Soros alumni to affect voter public policy-making decisions.  Just intimidate the masses into getting used to the "Green-House Gases & Global Warming" as a "real issue" so that they can own it.  Then ...Voilà!  Next time, the masses must be urged to act upon it!

A Coil of Rage... Which produced an Anti-American, Anti-Western, Anti-White, Divisive President. Barack Hussein Obama Jr. - a man steeped in his father’s dreams and demons… obviously haunted by the fact that he was abandoned by his father and then later his mother, and in his own words is filled with a "coil of rage"!

Obama was the great hope of most Americans to finally put an end to America’s racial divide… creating a post-racial America they thought.  Instead, America has never, in any recent time, been so divided in every arena: race, religion, political philosophy, economic philosophy, social issues, age groups, gender issues, ethnic groups, education and even what it means to be an American or a patriot.  

And Obama’s past and presidency is riddled with division, shrouded in secrecy, and filled with unanswered questions and associations:  Where are his documents from school records to his official birth certificate?; Was he born in the United States?; How far left is he?; Is he eligible to be President?; His religious background;  What is the real background of Obama and his family and their connections; Endless Rumors of escapades that keep surfacing; as well as his connections to George Soros, Rev Wright, Farrakhan, Qaddafi to name just a few…  And many still ask why has Obama spent millions to avoid answering or clarifying the above questions and speculations?

Audacity of Hope - Coil of Rage

To read Obama's book, "Audacity of Hope", it is difficult to read considering his attitude toward everyone and everything American.
Let us add the phrase he used, to describe his attitude toward whites. He harbors a "COIL OF RAGE" - his own words.

Dreams from My Father

Obama's other book, "Dreams from My Father",  was ghostwritten by Bill Ayers, a radical left-wing Weather Underground terrorist from the 1960's who bombed police stations and other government facilities.

At a meeting of Students for a Democratic Society (SDS) on March 24, 2011, Ayers admitted that he wrote Dreams from My Father. He also called Obama’s second book, Audacity of Hope, a “political hack book.” This isn’t the first time Ayers has admitted he wrote the book.

This well known “Urban Legends” reference site rates this widely circulated review as "MOSTLY TRUE". It did try to debunk  the “Coil of Rage” review above due to what it considers misappropriated quotes taken out context that promote exaggerated ideas to bolster critical views that supported incorrect conclusions about Barack Obama. 

Their points would be seriously considered if it were not owned and managed by David and Barbara Mikkelson, two very well-known liberal supporters of Barrack Obama and other Democrat Party causes.  Although David is a registered Republican and his wife Barbara is a Canadian citizen, his party registration and her foreign citizenship nonetheless do not in the least diminish their enthusiastic support for extreme progressive liberal activities. This also includes disseminating and circulating disinformation to influence public opinion and political ideologies, a shared interest they have with fellow activist and financial contributor, Peter Soros. 

FactCheck.org - A Project of the Annenberg Public Policy Center, University of Pennsylvania, another reference site, is a very liberal organization which is funded by left-wing billionaire Peter Soros, that corroborated Snopes.com findings.  Now, that is laughable!
