Obama Howling Wolf

The phrase, "A Wolf in Sheep's Clothing", originated in the Sermon on the Mount by Jesus recorded in the Bible: "Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves." Gospel of Matthew 7:15

"Crying Wolf" or political alarmism,  when we are alarmed with imaginary dangers in respect of the public, until the cry grows quite stale and threadbare, how can it be expected we should know when to guard ourselves against real ones?

President Obama just made an alarmist call for everyone to be vigilant watching for "Lone Wolf Terrorists" who independently act alone to carry out their deadly plans like what happened in Norway.  It presents a bigger risk than a large-scale operation to the United States just  like the Lone Wolf shooting of Arizona Congresswoman Gabby Giffords.  The Left’s speculation was that the Norway shooting was done by a Right-Wing Christian and the Arizona shooting was somehow sparked by Right-Wing Conservative “talk radio” programs, later proven wrong on both counts.  However, those words were spoken, heard and afterwards very difficult to take back, how convenient?

Listening carefully and reading between the lines while watching Obama speak, it quickly became starkly apparent he was setting up the country for supporting further gun controls. Like "A Wolf in Sheep's Clothing", Obama focused all attention on the dangers from the lone terrorists to the citizens and then stunningly turned on everyone and hit hard on how small arms and handguns were used to carry out these plots.  Bingo! We now need more gun law controls!

As I stated in the opening of this blog, I believe that President Obama and his administration are working hard to "appear concerned" while acting like wolves "cloaked in protecting our best interest". However, all the Second Amendment advocates would be smart to keep their powder dry, finger on the trigger and an eye open ready for a fight to defend gun rights coming on in the hot, sultry, lazy dog days of Summer while the President and the Congress are “on vacation”.
