Muammar Gaddafi - The 2011 OCTOBER SURPRISE!

By definition, in American political jargon, an OCTOBER SURPRISE is a news event with the potential to influence the outcome of an election, particularly one for the U.S. presidency. The reference to the month of October is because the Tuesday after the first Monday in November is the date for national elections. The term "October surprise" also has been used preemptively during campaign season by partisans of one side to discredit late-campaign news by the other side too.

So, why did the brutal dictator, Muammar Gaddafi, die in late October 2011 of this year?  Obama needed a real boost for his flagging 2012 Election poll numbers and orchestrated a terrorist's killing along with a U.S. Troops withdrawal from Iraq. This idea appears preposterous, but somehow could the Obama administration been scheming and plotting with the Iraqis to disengage our troops?  That scenario really is the farthest from the truth and sadly even shows further evidence that Obama has no understanding of the U.S. leadership roll in the influence or any consequences in foreign relations affairs.

Not surprisingly at his public announcement it was not in the Rose Garden, but Obama instead chose to frame his U.S. Troops withdrawal announcement in the White House Press Room, the close-quarters arena, to talk to the news reporters that is usually reserved for "routine daily press briefings" and more important "all of the campaign rhetoric". Obama opened with, "As a candidate I promised that I would have a troop withdrawal...", which fulfills a promise Obama made on the campaign trail in 2008 while his remarks glossed over America's unpopularity in Iraq and his own administration’s failed efforts to sell the Iraqis on a troop extension. Obama, however, has never dropped his "Campaign Mode" while in office and now is off and running for the 2012 Election Campaign while failing to recognize any further security or defense risks ahead. 

Ironically now, Obama will be shifting gears away from a failed U.S. economy while touting his military prowess in going after high value targets, like Osama bin Laden and Muammar Gaddifi, while safely bringing our Iraq ground troops home, albeit both operations too prematurely withdrawn with dire repercussions ahead.

President Obama’s speech formally declaring that the last 43,000 U.S. troops will leave Iraq by the end of the 2011 year was designed to mask an unpleasant truth: The troops aren’t being withdrawn because the U.S. wants them out. They’re leaving because the Iraqi government refused to let them stay. The actual truth is that the Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki's government has already figured out the Obama politically planned timetable which leaves Iraq out in the cold to defend against neighboring countries and warring factions within its own borders.  

Lately, Iraq has been distancing itself from a current ineffectual U.S. President with no understanding of Arab or Muslim society and Middle East foreign policy while aligning itself very closely with Iran and Syria by strengthening their regional OPEC alliance in anticipation of the U.S. troop withdrawal. 

What a real Obama coup de grâce!  Obama has dealt the final blow in killing U.S. military and political influence in the region. Israel, it's time to see your enemies coming and start circling your wagons for the attack!

Imagine this headline on Nov. 7, 2012:  "Barack Obama enters his second term  disliked by the majority of voters, distrusted by his democrat colleagues in Congress and facing a budget catastrophe with few painless solutions." 

The sentence above was adapted from an article from a San Francisco Chronicle article the day after California Democrat, Governor Gray Davis won a 2002 November re-election, with the names changed.  However, a year later, October 2003, Governor Gray Davis lost in a special recall election and was replaced by Republican Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger. Fortunately, Obama does not have a recall provision, but he does have an impeachment mechanism.  Hmmn...

So, what is the point here?  Simple, Obama purportedly will have collected a $1 Billion 2012 Campaign war chest and has the ability to do on a National level what Gray Davis did on a State level ...to get elected as a very unpopular politician! Just up the stakes by the office position and with huge campaign funds to spend and... Voilà! You're the next President of the United States of America! 
 

What did Gray Davis do?  He spent money like crazy, $10 Million, in the state Republican primary to demonize the middle-of-the-road candidate to manipulate the voting outcome and got a far more conservative candidate to run against in a liberal left-leaning State in order to win reelection.

What was the Gray Davis winning strategy?  His war chest was five times that of his rival going into the final election coupled with a very low voter turnout, virtually despondent, due to all of the vicious infighting pitting opposing candidates in a political brawl artfully orchestrated by the Gray Davis Campaign Headquarters. It was a very down and dirty, low and below the belt campaign, punching out a fierce round of hyper-sleazy ads and personal attack innuendos that worked quite well, incumbent Governor Gray Davis won. That's what counts.  Does he feel guilty? Nah!

Taxpayers Will See Truth Through The Tea Party Facade

Cannon Falls, MN - August 15, 2011.  At the start of his three state bus tour, President Obama speaking to a cloistered group of voters in a carefully chosen venue has offered to help people get more jobs by blaming the members of Congress for inaction and urging them to push his administration's programs into new legislation in the upcoming session. 

Obama claims that the Tea Party deadlock will not allow him to get anything done. So, Obama also called for renewing the payroll tax cuts he enacted at the beginning of this year to put more money into the folk's pockets to stimulate the economy.  That was quite laughable since many of them who were there are included in the over 50% of the population who do not pay any federal taxes at all.  Therefore, the federal payroll taxes on their low income level does not significantly affect them.

So, how does the Obama plan put money in the folk's pockets to get by in these tough times?  Obama was met by lukewarm applause at best and little more during his question and answer period that followed.  It appears that Obama has just lost steam and run out of excuses at the beginning of his 2012 Presidential Bid.

On the exchange from Fox News White House Correspondent Ed Henry, in which the President is quoted as saying, “As someone who’s been called a socialist, not born here, taking away freedoms for providing health care, I’m all for lowering the rhetoric.”  

Obama while shaking many hands did meet one questioner who asked about the mindless attacks  against the Tea Party calling them Terrorists.  I guess that Obama gave me all of the information I needed, we have a wounded politician that gets no past behind him. Obama always carries his hurt feelings on his sleeve, instantly ready to flash it up like a shield as a retort to answer why he attacks others.   He just left without answering him.

Someone should remind him the next time, and there will be upcoming other next times, that he is running for the Presidency, not the seat on the Neighborhood Community Organization.  He owes a straight answer to real sincerely intentioned questions.  The folks are listening closely now  ...and they don't like what they hear!
